At Foxdale School we are committed to supporting our pupils in developing the knowledge, skills and understanding which they need to lead healthy, confident and independent lives in the future. A key part of this is our PSHE and RSE curriculum.
What is PSHE?
PSHE stands for Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education.
What is RSE?
RSE stands for Relationship and Sex Education.
How is it taught?
We follow the KAPOW primary whole school programme to support the teaching and delivery of PSHE and RSE across the school. Kapow Primary's scheme takes a spiral approach to the curriculum and therefore these areas will be revisited and further developed across our year groups. This ensures progression of skills, knowledge, and understanding.
The following topics will be taught;
• Family and relationships
• Health and wellbeing
• Safety and the changing body
• Citizenship
• Economic wellbeing
