The Puffins have settled in nicely to their new nest, and are getting on beautifully with each other and with their tasks. We have looked at Alan Peat's Sentences in Literacy, and we are learning how to write captivating and interesting prose, using descriptive sentences (2AD and List Sentences) and similes. In Numeracy the children have looked at Place Value, and are now moving into Addition and Subtraction. Our Topic is the Ancient Greeks, and alongside their learning they are enjoying our class story, 'The Beasts of Olympus', where a child called Demon has been employed by the Greek Gods to talk to the stable animals!
