Lieutenant Governor Visit

On Tuesday 9th May 2023 Foxdale Primary School were delighted to welcome the visit of His Excellency, Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and his wife Lady Lorimer. Sir John entertained the children with stories from his busy weekend representing the Island at the King's Coronation on Saturday at Westminster Abbey. Sir John also took the time to answer the many and varied questions from the children about his life, including his long and successful military service. The children were thoroughly entranced by Sir John's stories which including meeting Dame Judy Dench and Joanna Lumley and being sat close to Ant and Dec during the service! His Excellency even had time to meet Ted our school dog! A big thank you to Sir John and Lady Lorimer for taking the time to visit Foxdale School and we look forward to taking you up on your kind invitation to visit Government House in the near future.
