On Thursday, the 5th of May, some lovely folk from Manx Radio and KPMG in the Crown Dependencies joined the children of Cronk Vane to set-up and help us populate a stunning planter, in the grounds adjacent to our classroom. The planter was gifted to our school as a project that is 'fully inclusive and focuses on fun, education, sustainability and growing.' The children planted vegetable seeds and seedlings, of exciting and unusual varieties that will produce a colourful and diverse crop - a Rainbow Allotment. The fantastic and fun project will also extend to the classroom, where as well as learning about the vegetables, the children will engage in the concept that, 'just like humans, things grow in all shapes, sizes and colours.' Cronk Vane had a wonderful morning full of laughter, learning, seeds and soil!
