In the Spring Term, the Whales received a fun and fantastic visit from Mr Raybon - Principal Engineer at Ronaldsway Aircraft Company! Mr Raybon visited us as part of an initiative with Primary Engineers to deliver a whole day of building, creating, and following plans and instructions to make a fully operational and light-up Tipper Truck! The children enjoyed learning new skills such as using a small saw to cut lengths of wood, alongside practising skills such as measuring, cutting, positioning, and maintaining focus. Mr Raybon wowed the children with a presentation about what he does as an engineer, which inspired many questions and much enthusiasm from the class! As if this wasn't all exciting enough, the children were incredibly lucky and got to sit in a genuine Ejector Seat! We would like to thank Mr Raybon for his incredible preparation, wonderful patience, and the phenomenal content of his visit, which certainly inspired some young engineers of the future!
