Those children 'lucky enough' to have attended school during the last 'circuit breaker' in January took part in the RSPB Schools' Bird Watch, with Mrs Guest. We sent our results to the RSPB - the number and species of birds that we saw around our school grounds - and as a citizen science project, this helped them understand that their information and data is part of a much bigger picture about the state of nature and the environment. We received a certificate for having taken part - this is on display in the school foyer - and the RSPB have just published the results, from the whole of the British Isles. Here is a link to those results - do you think this fits with the types of birds we see in the Foxdale School area? Check it out with any sightings of birds you have from your own gardens at home...RSPB Schools' Bird Watch 2021
